Gregorian portrays one family's journey through the bloodiest century in human history as four generations discover the gravity of a name passed from father to son. The play explores the cyclical effects of genocide on humanity, the consequences of denial, and the essential place these stories hold in our existence. Beginning with the Gregorian family's own tragic roots in the Armenian Genocide, through the rise of the Nazi Party, across the killing fields of Cambodia, and the continuing crisis in Africa, they do all they can to hold on to heritage, history, and hope.

Working Artists Theatre Project is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing platforms for Entertainment Industry professionals to build and incubate skills outside their dominant disciplines. Our programs support artists and technicians through the development and production of innovative theatre, film, and new media projects. WAT Project believes in a multidisciplinary approach to storytelling, nurturing industry-focused career longevity, and building a supportive community for artists to take new and bold risks across genres.

Working Artists Theatre Project was originally founded in 1993 under the company name INCOACT, Inc. or In the Company of Actors. Initially created by a collective of Broadway talent, INCOACT, Inc. produced several well received off and off off Broadway productions. In 2005 the not-for-profit company was reinvented under the new name of Working Artists Theatre Project by a collaborative of theatre professionals working on the Broadway musical The Producers.

The company produced its first project in 2005 and played to sold out audiences. Recognizing the need and demand for the type of experience we were providing, not only for our audiences, but for our creative teams as well the company successfully expanded to include working professionals from all reaches of the entertainment industry.

Since 2005, WAT Project has evolved in exciting and innovative ways to create a diverse portfolio of projects and all-embracing membership. Currently, the company supports working entertainment industry professionals as well as artists working towards professional status in a communal environment furthering education through producing creative projects based in theatre, film, and new media genres. We have gained the support of many local organizations, created a diverse company of accomplished talent, built an enthusiastic far-reaching audience base, and have been awarded prestigious grants through chashama and the National Endowment for the Arts. Our company has developed successful productions of new plays, produced multiple official selections of the New York International Fringe Festival, hosted inventive fundraisers through the foundational support of the Broadway Community, and piloted programming to fiscally sponsor the creative endeavors of our community.
